In 1936, Leonard A. Maune formed The Maune Company as a manufacturer of architectural products.  

For 51 years, the company served the commercial building industry and its products sprinkle the St. Louis skyline.  Some 15 years later, Ramsey Maune, grandson of the founder, started Maune Development Company to focus on real estate development.  As the company expanded its services beyond development, the company was renamed The Maune Company – to reflect the original values of integrity, hard work and discipline that built his grandfather’s company.

What started in 2002 with one employee, the driving principle of integrity and a single property acquisition, grew to a portfolio of more than 25 projects and 6 associates within just three years.  

By seeking out real estate acquisitions and developments that matched the company’s expertise in maximizing value, The Maune Company continued to expand its operations. By 2007, Maune had acquired or developed more than 40 different properties. Finding that many local real estate investors were looking for a “hands on” approach to the management of their properties, Maune harnessed its ownership and management expertise to offer a property management service to third-party customers.

In 2009, The Maune Company acquired Bell & Associates to enhance its property management service, providing clients with an expanded platform of resources. Maune added real estate veteran Peter Krombach as President in 2011 to enhance the brokerage capabilities, offering clients additional services and value.  In 2013, The Maune Company expanded its services once again to include Maune Construction Services, led by Tom Helmkampf, a 30-year veteran in the industry.  

With integrity remaining our guiding principle, The Maune Company continues to grow and today provides brokerage, development, construction and property management services for hundreds of clients.
